What you need to know about Delta-Push®

The Delta-Push® has a high extraction force of up to 40 kg. This value does not include a safety factor. But what is an extraction force, exactly? The extraction force indicates the maximum force at which the component fails under axial load due to breakage, or is pulled out of the drill hole by the force applied.

The safety factor, which is also known as the factor of safety or safety coefficient, indicates the factor used to increase the failure limit of a component.

The extraction values, including for the substrate hollow brick, underscore the wide range of applications of the push-fit anchor. Plastered brickwork, which includes hollow brick, is a popular external wall construction and can improve thermal insulation. We tested all three Delta-Push variants – threaded anchor, thumb anchor and cable tie anchor – using two different tests with plastered hollow brick.

  • With 10 mm plaster mortar, cement-bound according to DIN-EN-998-1
  • With 10 mm plaster according to DIN-EN-13279-1

The test holes were made in the area of the brick holes, as this is where anchors usually have the lowest holding force. Even here, the Delta-Push® once again proved itself to be a powerhouse amongst anchors with a breaking load of 300 N and a safe working load of 130 N.
