Celebrating 15 years of the BVB Evonik Football Academy at OBO

15 years of love for football, team spirit and yellow & black moments: The BVB Evonik Football Academy was held once again this year for children of OBO employees. Around 80 up-and-coming footballers aged 6 to 13 experienced varied training sessions, exciting challenges and lots of fun playing football over the course of a week.

As a Premium Partner of Borussia Dortmund, OBO has offered this Football Academy for its employees’ children for 15 years. At the OBO Arena in Menden-Hüingsen, the young football fans trained under the guidance of a licensed team of trainers once again this year. The focus was not only on football-specific exercises, but on team spirit, fairness and the shared joy of the sport.

Of course, matching gear was a must: Each child received their own training outfit for a perfect start to their week of football. At the grand finale tournament, the up-and-coming talents were able to show off what they learned over the course of the week.

The OBO man and the BVB mascot Emma also made appearances – an absolute highlight. They insisted on handing over the medals and certificates to the young footballers personally, leaving a smile on all their faces.
