1. Data controller and joint controllership

We operate these social media pages to present our company and communicate with customers, interested parties and users.

When users visit our profiles, user data is processed by us as well as the platform operator. For certain data processing activities, we and the platform operator are joint controllers within the meaning of Art. 26 GDPR.

3. Processing of data by us (page operator)

  • Purpose of processing: We process your data (e.g. username, comments, likes, direct messages) to respond to your enquiries, carry out competitions or share posts. We also use the anonymised statistics (Insights data) from the platform operator to better adapt our contents to the interests of the visitors.
  • Legal basis: Data is processed based on our legitimate interest in modern customer communication and public relations (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If you specifically request offers or services from us via a message, the legal basis is contract initiation (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
  • Storage period: Posts you leave on our pages publicly (e.g. comments) remain permanently unless you delete them yourself or request us to delete them. We regularly delete private messages once the enquiry has been resolved fully.

 

4. Processing of data by Meta (platform operator)

The platform operator uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse user behaviour. This is also the case if you do not have your own account. Data may be transferred to countries outside of the European Union (such as the USA) in the process.

5. Your rights as a data subject

You have the right to be informed, to rectification, to erasure and to restrict the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing.

  • Important: As the platform operator collects and controls the majority of the data, you can assert your rights as a data subject (e.g. requests for information or deletion related to Insights data) most quickly and effectively directly with the platform operator.
  • You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
