OBO achieves the EcoVadis Gold status for the second year in a row

OBO has once again successfully proven its commitment to sustainability: For the second year running, the company has been awarded Gold status by EcoVadis. OBO even significantly improved its rating – from 79 points last year to 85 points this year.

With this result, OBO is once again among the top 5% of companies worldwide who have been assessed by EcoVadis. The award highlights OBO’s continued commitment to sustainable business development and the consistent refinement of the relevant measures and processes.

OBO CEO Lajos Hernádi says: “The EcoVadis Gold medal provides independent recognition of our progress in the area of sustainability. At the same time, the award is an incentive to continue developing our performance and make full use of existing potential. EcoVadis evaluates companies on the basis of four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The evaluation is based on a comprehensive analysis of management systems, guidelines, actions and outcomes in the area of sustainability. To date, EcoVadis has assessed more than 130,000 companies in over 180 countries and 220 sectors.
