As a globally active and expanding company with a wide product range, our supply chains are becoming increasingly complex. A close, cooperative relationship with our suppliers is indispensable in being able to make statements about compliance with legal regulations and social standards.

For many years, we have been conducting supplier surveys on the topics of quality management, energy management, environmental management, occupational safety and safety in the supply chain, and evaluating our suppliers based on the results of these surveys.

To specifically implement sustainability in the area of the supply chain, OBO in Germany works with a due diligence approach that is based on OECD guidelines. The process comprises five stages: risk analysis, identification of focal points and goals, definition and implementation of measures, and monitoring and reporting.

As part of the risk analysis, economic, ecological and social risks are identified and evaluated based on the material group or supplier, then translated into measures to reduce or completely eliminate the potential risks.
