The new FireBox portfolio

With the new FireBox portfolio, OBO Bettermann can offer variants for any area of use and for all applications connected with fire-tested connections for the maintenance of electrical function. As the core of the OBO FireBox, the ceramic connection terminal forms the basis of this system. It consists of high-temperature-resistant ceramic materials and is available as a single or double terminal, as well as a data technology terminal. In combination with the thermoplastic housing, it forms a test-approved fire protection system.

Clear portfolio

Clearly structured into only 6 product groups for the different applications, the new portfolio makes the selection of the right FireBox particularly simple. The available box sizes are perfectly adapted to the nominal cross-sections of the terminals within: The FireBox T100 for a cable cross-section of 6 mm², the T160 for 10 mm² and the T250 for 16 mm². As an empty variant, the FireBox T350 offers even more space for equipment with different terminals of up to 16 mm².

Diagonally mounted terminal units mean that there is always sufficient space available. The version as a double terminal enables the branching of different cable cross-sections, as required. Such a branch can then be protected using a separate fuse holder.

Mounted quickly and simply

Practical outer fastenings, pre-terminated soft plug-in seals and comprehensive accessories allow quick and simple mounting of the FireBoxes that meets the conditions of the technical approval. Closed versions with VA fastenings also offer the option of free termination.

The halogen-free material of the FireBox means that, in the event of fire, no toxic gases are created, thus keeping injury to people and damage to property to a minimum.

The new portfolio of the FireBoxes connects safety-relevant electrical cables in a fireproof manner, making it even easier to protect the important things in life should the worst happen.
