PYROLINE® Rapid PLM fire protection duct series

Saving human lives and, at the same time, reducing damage to a building or its contents to a minimum: During a fire, this top priority can now be implemented particularly easily with the new generation of the PYROLINE^® Rapid PLM fire protection duct series from OBO. The duct series combines the properties of a safe, classified fire duct with those of a standard electrical installation duct. This prevents the spread of fire through the electrical installation and offers flexible solutions, which stand out both in new buildings and during modernisation projects.

Reliable protection, implemented discreetly

The PYROLINE^® Rapid PLM forms a closed system made from sheet steel with a profiled cover locking contour and an intumescent fire protection fabric in the interior, which foams up in event of a fire and prevents its spread.

On the outside, the fire protection duct cannot be distinguished from electrical installation duct once the installation has been completed. This is due to the patented, internal connection and sealing technology. The internal connector set means that the fire protection duct system is connected and closed in such a way that it is smoke gas-tight. The internal connection system also offers additional benefits, such as the option of mounting in a room corner or with no spacing to other units. Also, the standard mounting type, with an offset between the joint of the duct trough and the joint of the duct cover, can be implemented using the connection system.

Optimised fittings

A wide range of fittings is available for the PYROLINE® Rapid PLM, with which the right solution can be developed for almost any situation. The fittings are matched to the structure of the section fittings and, as such, consist of a prefabricated duct trough and a cover. This means that they can be installed in a continuous mounting sequence. By separating the duct trough and duct cover, users follow the course of the installation with the prefabricated duct troughs and place the connector sets at each of the duct trough joints. Here, it doesn’t matter whether duct is connected to duct or whether duct and fittings are interconnected – the procedure is always the same.

The PYROLINE Rapid PLM harmonises design and safety. It not only stands out through its high-quality, discreet appearance, but with a classification according to EN 13501-2, it also offers tested, safe installations and the possibility of use throughout Europe.
