Building Installations comprises the products for cable routing and underfloor systems for administrative and functional buildings including architectural solutions that are characterized by top-class functionality and met highest design requirements at the same time. A large selection of device installation units and cable trunking gives you access to power, data and multimedia connections.

When it comes to the field of Safety and Protection Installation, one thing above all is in the spotlight: Safety. Our products for surge voltage and lightning protection provide reliable protection against the impacts of thunderstorms and remote switching operations. The unique, wide product range in the field of fire protection makes OBO one of the few providers who cover all three protection aims and help you to protect people and property as best as possible in case of fire.

The principle of OBO

All our products stand out through a continuous alignment of our company to the wishes and requirements of our customers and a high innovative force – because innovation and OBO belong together ever since. The first metal OBO anchor gave the company, 40 years after its foundation, the additional name OBO – ohne Bohren (without drilling). Up to that point, it was accepted that an anchor had to be drilled into the wall. However, an OBO engineer had a groundbreaking idea: He developed a metallic anchor, the innovative construction of which permitted it to be knocked directly into the wall without any drilling. This was a huge mounting advantage, considerably simplifying the work of the tradesmen of the time and, as such becoming one of the biggest milestones in the history of the company. This innovation spirit is part of every single OBO product until today.
