Get started with e-mobility – with the OBO Ion charging station

With the new Ion charging station, OBO Bettermann can offer a solution for both private and commercial charging infrastructure.

Electromobility is increasing in many areas of our daily lives and is also revolutionising the electrical infrastructure. As a reliable partner, OBO’s newly developed Ion charging station offers a reliable solution to the increasing demand for charging points at home, in rented accommodation or in commercial areas.

Link to the future

Thanks to its well-thought-out technology, simple mounting and tailor-made safety, the total of four model variants means that the right charging unit is available for any situation. All four Ion charging stations offer charging power of 22 kW (default setting: 11 kW) and possess a pre-installed 5 m charging cable with a type 2 connector. Bi-directional communication takes place via the Modbus RTU protocol (RS-485). The impact-resistant housing (IK08) means that the Ion charging stations are particularly robust, whilst they will also match up to high design requirements through the robust, high-quality matt varnish finish. A pressure or key switch also avoids high standby consumption.

Ready for anything

If necessary, the Ion Protect charging station variants offer a solution with integrated surge protection. This means that the investment in the charging infrastructure is always optimally protected.

The Ion Key charging station variants offer security against unauthorised access. The use of a key switch means that only authorised people have access and can start a charging operation.

By contrast, additional protection against wind and weather in protected outdoor areas is offered by the matching weather protection cover, which is available for all charging station variants.

All four model variants are listed as “subsidisable” in the 439/440/441 subsidy programmes.
