Fire protection installed underfloor
and in cable routing ducts
OBO offers flexibility and versatility
The growing need for the flexible use of buildings and office areas is calling for complex solutions. Underfloor and cable routing systems (Ackermann and OBO) are extremely flexible, diverse and safe.
Dividing walls can be moved around very quickly to change room layouts. It is not usually necessary to touch the installation in the underfloor system. The installation is quickly modified thanks to the plastic or metal device installation ducts.
However, if the dividing walls also have a fire protection function or are separatedb by two fire lobbies, the electrical installation must be fireproof. OBO Bettermann offers a number of different cable insulation systems that suit these applications. For example, FBA-B foam blocks are used in underfloor installations in in-screed floorflush ducts. The ideal solution for screed-covered systems, however, is the new OBO FBA-2K.
The same goes for arranging device installation ducts through separating walls. The new type FBA-BK fire protection foam blocks help to prevent the passage of fire and smoke. The little brother of the FBA-B is designed specifically for the conditions in both metal and plastic device installation ducts.
All fire insulation systems are tested to DIN 4102, Part 9, and approved for these applications. The fire resistance period is 90 minutes in each case. Simple retrofitting is possible at any time.
