Fire protection foam sets new benchmark
New insulation system as all-rounder for various applications
Less mounting work with just one required fire protection product, no separation of cable trays needed in the area of the wall insulation, no cable diameter restrictions: the new OBO FBS90 fire protection foam can offer these and more advantages for the creation of cable insulation of fire resistance class S90. The number of applications for the new fire protection foam has multiplied compared to the previous OBO product. The application benefits are convincing: PVC piping can remain in the ceiling opening and need not be removed. The minimum distance to the neighbouring fire protection foam insulation is just 50 mm. And: the FBS90 also allows reinstallation, as the plastic electrical installation piping can be passed through the insulation.

The highlight of the new two-component material: the product foams up in case of fire, making additional, time-intensive fire protection painting unnecessary. The material is worked in using a press adapter with 1K cartridge pistols however, the use of the tried and tested OBO 2K cartridge pistol is still possible. For this, the press adapter must simply be pulled out of the cartridge. This means that this insulation system can be used even more flexibly OBO’s fire protection foam is ideal for all kinds of installation situations.
Cable insulation with advantages:
- No additional fire protection painting, reduced mounting work: insulation creation with just a single fire protection product
- Unlimited cable diameter: no checking of the cable passed through the insulation
- No separation of cable trays/ladders: possible routing through the wall insulation
- Reinstallation option: guiding of the installation pipes through the insulation
- Installation in brick/concrete walls and in dry walls from 10-cm thickness
Insulation size: max. 20 x 20 cm / ø 20 cm
- Approved penetration of plastic electrical installation pipes of up to ø 20 mm
- PVC piping need not be removed from ceiling openings
Minimum spacing to neighbouring FBS90 insulation: only 50 mm (!)
