The takeover of the ACKERMANN Cable Management Division by OBO BETTERMANN has made yet a further step possible in the evolution of intelligent electrical installation systems for all utility, office and industrial buildings. The teams from both companies are currently working on harmonising their respective innovative systems, of which numerous components were already exhibited on their joint exhibition stand at Light + Building. No matter for what application, whether for underfloor or for built-in equipment cable ducting systems, whether for media pillars or for just those last few feet of cable to the desktop, the OBO and Ackermann brands offer a whole diversity of intelligent solutions that are available from no other manufacturer on the market. In order to make the choice even easier, the product structure will
be completely revised in 2006/2007 to ensure 100% availability of all existing components that have the potential to
further extend the leading position which the OBO and Ackermann brands hold in the market for innovative cable management products. Think orange. think connected.

Screed-covered systems
Underfloor connection sockets that suit every conceivable screed height and have limitless uses in cement screeds, poured screeds and mastic asphalt.
Underfloor ducts in widths of 140–350 mm in heights of 28 mm, 38 mm and 48 mm offer great flexibility when it comes to the number of cables to be installed in screed-covered systems.

Open screed-covered systems
These increasingly popular underfloor systems provide installation sections for permanently accessible dry and wet-cleaned floors. Duct widths of 200–600 mm in the standard range offer tailored solutions for every situation. Duct systems with flexible side walls enable cable systems to be crossed with other structures such as water, heating and ventilation.

False/cavity floor systems
All components for quick, flexibleinstallation in false and cavity floors are available: pre-wired accessory sockets, energy distributors, various lengths of pre-assembled connection cables, installation systems for cable routing, device inserts and cassettes.

Device installation systems
There are a host of installation options available for devices used for installation in duct systems and false and cavity floor systems.
Flush with floor device installation with device inserts from plastic and metal in round and square design for drycleaned floor, stainless steel and brass cassettes in round and square design for wet-cleaned floor, universal device inserts with finished surface, heavy load solutions and special sizes for specific purposes, etc.
Above-floor device installation with Telitanks for floor and installation systems with insufficient installation height for floor level device inserts.

On-floor installation systems
The key strengths of this system are cable routing and device installation on a finished floor. In various widths from 150 to 350 mm and heights of 40 and 70 mm, the duct sections offer every option for supplying media to the workplace. The system is highly suitable for the refurbishment of old buildings.

In-concrete systems
These comprise the concrete core of the floor ceilings for cable routing and device installation. The system is particularly suitable if the concrete ceiling makes the finished floor.
