New mixture – new opportunities

An improved material recipe has created a revolution in the OBO FBA cable insulation systems.

The use of a new mixture during manufacturing gives the electrician a world of new possibilities. As a result, OBO’s insulation systems not only meet the fire resistance class S90 but are also dust and fibre-free: a key property, especially in server rooms or in the surrounding of telecommunication systems.

FBA-B200 combination sealing system The “large” FBA block is now approved for use as combination sealing for electricial and sanitary installation. Cables, cable support systems and both combustible and non-combustible pipes can be run. The special feature: even plastic piping can now be run through the sealing without any additional, cost-intensive pipe sleeves. Heat insulation for steel and copper piping can now end before the sealing surface or can run though.

FBA-B120 cable sealing system Reinstallation is a common occurrence in IT and telecommunication systems. Often, the cable sealing suffers as a result. Now, electricians can use the new FBA-B120 foam block, which was designed as pure cable sealing for smaller cross-sections, for these special applications.

FBA-SP small sealing system The new FBA-SP fire protection compound is now available to close small holes of up to 8 cm diameter. This onecomponent compound can be used straight out of the cartridge to create sealings quickly and simply. Together with the new FBA-DR stable pipe shells, the FBA-SP fire protection compound is also approved for use in dry walls.
