Family of suspended supports now complete
OBO's new US 3 K suspended support is the next logical step in expanding the U family of supports, which already includes the US 5 K and US 7 K. Together with the associated MWA 12 and AW 15 brackets, OBO has created a modular system to provide solutions for the majority of mounting applications with just a small number of products. All the brackets in the range feature holes on three sides, meaning that brackets can be mounted on two sides.

US 3 K - the suspended support with welded head plate
Type MWA 12, AW 15 and AWG 15 brackets can be mounted on one or two sides of the US 3 K suspended support. The matching truss-head bolt for fixing brackets up to 400 mm in place is type FRS M10 x 25 mm. The matching hexagon head bolt for fixing brackets in place on both sides is type SKS M10 x 90 mm. Clamping angles or clamps can be used to fix the suspended support directly to steel girders measuring approx. 70-100 mm. In the event of flange widths greater than 100 mm, a workaround can be used to mount the suspended support. This comprises the type CPS 5 mounting rail and clamping angles/clamps. The new US 3 K suspended support can be supplied in lengths from 200 to 1,200 mm with a hot-dip galvanised FT finish.
Spacer for use in US 3 supports
A type DSK 25 spacer should be used if brackets are mounted on both sides or at the end of a suspended support. U supports in fixed lengths can be used for static installations and for direct mounting on walls. The spacer prevents the distortion of the profile when brackets are mounted with hexagon head bolts fixed through both sides of the profile.
