Equipotential bonding systems

In order to prevent uncontrolled arcing in a building installation, all metallic components, all electrical equipment and also the lightning protection system must be connected. This equipotential bonding in accordance with DIN VDE 0100-410 and 540 is usually installed in the building basement and prevents potential differences and dangerous contact voltages between protective earth and metallic systems.
