The new generation of mounting plates from OBO

OBO has made mounting devices such as junction boxes, switchgear and socket outlets much easier by developing four new mounting plates. What makes the plates different are a number of sophisticated and useful extras:

• An identical hole pattern on all four plates is suitable for installing the various different devices.
• The B9/T waterproof junction box can be mounted by screwing a screw plug into the centre hole.
• The mounting plates are fixed to the lateral upright by their brackets and can then be screwed into place easily without the installation engineer having to hold the plate in
• place by gripping the tray with his/her hand.
• The strain on the mounted devices can be relieved by using cable ties to attach the cables connected to these devices to the remaining holes.

Type 1: The universal MP UNI
Mounting plate for universal use on the lateral uprights of cable trays and mesh cable trays. Type B9/T junction boxes can be mounted very easily by inserting the plug supplied into the centre hole on the mounting plate. The plate is fixed to the lateral upright of a cable tray using two truss-head bolts and to the lateral upright of a mesh cable tray by bending the end of the tab over. Any type of terminal box or switchgear can be attached to mounting plates installed in this way.

Types 2 and 3: MP WI (small) and MP WI (large) angled mounting plates
Angled mounting plates are available in two different sizes. The small plate can be used for junction boxes and socket outlets, for example, and the large plate for bigger devices such as switchgear or distribution panels. The hole in the centre of the plate makes it very easy to align the components to be installed.

Type 4: The slimline version: MP FL
In terms of its design, the slimline mounting plate is the simplest member of the mounting plate generation. The plates are hooked onto the lateral upright of the cable tray and can be screwed into place in next to no time. The design makes it easy to route the power supply cables to the devices connected to the plates. The hole pattern on the mounting plates is compatible with devices of all shapes and sizes.
